When the pandemic hit, we knew the impact on Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) and especially LGBTQ+ people would be devastating. Historically, the LGBTQ+ community experiences higher rates of discrimination and health inequities; therefore, it was no surprise that they were likely to experience greater health impacts from COVID-19. We acted quickly to mobilize our statewide team and community partners on the ground around the state.
